Prizebeacon is an online training platform focused on painting and drawing technique. Every course is structured around observable, repeatable skills - not inspiration alone.
Founded in 2025, the platform was built for learners who want to understand why a technique works, not just copy what they see. Courses cover brush control, colour mixing, composition decisions, and medium-specific handling.
Technique is learnable. The gap between a beginner and an experienced painter is mostly a set of specific skills that were never explained clearly.
Most online art content teaches by demonstration - watch someone paint, try to follow. That works for some people. For others, it leaves the actual reasoning invisible. Prizebeacon courses are built differently: each lesson explains the decision behind the action, so students can adapt what they learn to their own work.
Courses are self-paced and structured in short focused units. A student working through a module on watercolour layering can pause, test, and return without losing context. The platform serves learners across Australia, Europe, and North America.
